Thanks to the camera’s compact design - which actually makes it one of the smallest cameras of its type on the market - the Niceboy PILOT X does not limit the driver’s field of vision and the magnetic camera mount makes moving and handling the camera easier than ever. Everyday use of the camera is considerably comfortable, as the mount (which can be connected to the 3-metre power cable included in the package) can remain in your vehicle at all times and can be handled via either the camera itself or the GPS module. It is easy to both connect and disconnect the camera from its mount. A car charger, which plugs into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter, comes included in the package and boasts two USB ports (input current 1A and 2.4A), one for the dash cam and the other for your mobile telephone or something similar. It’s thanks to these two ports that you can use the dash cam and charge your phone at the same time.
The Niceboy PILOT X dash cam records in real Full HD definition (1920x1080p), making it easy to read license plate numbers and identify drivers’ faces when looking back at recorded videos. Together the powerful Novatek 96658 chip, the Sony IMX323 sensor, and the excellent all- glass lens, with 150° of recording, guarantee sharp, high-quality videos. It’s thanks to these quality components that the Niceboy PILOT X is capable of capturing amazing results, even when recording at night. You can play back any video right in the camera via the 1.54” display.
The camera comes equipped with a GPS module with magnetic attachment. The GPS module collects information about your current speed and path travelled on your memory card throughout the entirety of your drive. You can then return to your travels in the GPS player and view your detailed information on Google maps.
To start us off, the Niceboy PILOT X dash cam is equipped with ‘parking mode’, a feature that automatically turns on and begins recording should it detect shaking of any kind. Another extremely useful function is the motion detection. The camera automatically begins to record if any movement is spotted in front of it. The Niceboy PILOT X also makes use of WDR technology, which allows you to make out the smallest of details, even in well-lit or heavily shadowed areas. This function gives you the peace of mind that no matter the circumstances, you will always be able to make out license plate numbers and easily identify traffic markings and drivers’ faces.
In addition to the functions already mentioned, the ultra-sensitive G-sensor also makes the list as it records sudden changes in movement, subsequently locking any recorded sequences. This function ensures the protection of all your recordings from being accidentally overwritten in the case of an accident. The loop recording function also helps out in this regard. It automatically deletes the oldest, unlocked recordings to make room for new ones. In this way the dash cam is able to record continuously, no need to manually clear your memory card (up to 64GB memory card may be used, not included in the package).
