PILOT Q8 video camera records in super FullHD display resolution (2304x1296p), enabling you to get a readable vehicle registration plate or to identify drivers’ faces from the record. A powerful Ambrella A7 chip and a high quality all-glass optical system with a 170° camera angle ensure perfect quality and sharpness of image. With these quality components, Q8 PILOT achieves amazing results even when recording at night. The shots taken may be played directly on the camera on its large 2.7-inch screen.
The video camera is featured with a GPS module which captures the current speed and route on the memory card for the complete journey. With the device’s GPS feature, you can view everything on Google Maps retrospectively. The camera also allows you to activate a feature which will alert you to exceeding the speed limit and it also offers detection of speed cameras and section speed control.
PILOT Q8 is equipped with a detector which will alert you in advance to speed cameras and section speed control. Measuring of the average speed directly in the course of section speed control is also a very practical feature. The PILOT Q8 video camera is regularly updated with this data so that you always have current alerts.
ADAS assistance systems have been developed for greater driver safety in road traffic. These sophisticated assistance systems will alert you to leaving the lane (LDWS), to a risk of frontal collision (FCWS) or to the fact that the car in front of you has just moved off.
In addition to the above described features, the video camera is also equipped with a sensitive G-sensor that detects a sudden change of movement and locks the sequence being recorded. This will protect a recording containing an accident against unintentional overwriting. Thanks to the loop recording feature, unlocked shots are automatically overwritten with new ones once the memory card is full. Thus the camera records continuously without the need to clear the memory card manually (it is possible to use a memory card with a capacity of up to 128GB, not included in the package).
With its compact dimensions, PILOT Q8 does not limit the driver’s field of vision in any way and can be mounted on the windscreen of any car by simply turning the handle of a suction mount holder (which is included in the package). Everyday use is very comfortable as the suction mount holder, connected by a 3m power chord (included in the package), can remain fixed in the car and you need only handle the camera itself. You can simply unsnap it from the holder and then snap it back in. The package also includes a car charger which connects to the ignition system.
